I knew that gandy dancers were involved in laying railroad tracks. What I didn't know was that there are machines that do that job now.
Office telephone systems are fine with me. Whats not fine is the rigmarole that an outside caller has to go through in order to get to the party he/she wants to speak with. And the telephone company has the worst system of all, when you just want to get someone to fix your phone. 
Sam Clemens was right about telephones being evil.
