Georgie Smith, of Australia and the West Midlands and Hollywood

Quite a long career for one person, our Georgie has had. Three movies in the 1930s. Then she came back, far too young for her chronological age, in "Wreckers" in 2011.

Grew up in so many different places -- Perth, Australia; the Western Midlands, South London, etc. Nominated for a Grammy in 2019. Played in the Austrian basketball league in 2017. And she still found time to prevent homelessness with "A Sense of Home," which finds first-ever homes for children as they age out of the foster-child system. For fun, she likes to go hiking while wearing Patagonia rock guide pants.

But, of course, she no longer plays the piano, choosing the cello instead. She now teaches cello as well.

(Sorry I'm so silly today. I have Spring fever.)

Caiman raptor elk - Inside big box, thinking.

My first thought was: If you don't do your scales, big red riding hood will come and punish you with the pick axe she is carrying over her shoulder. She's waiting for you outside. See?

smiley - snork That probably wouldn't make piano practice any more popular, CRE.

And, Paul, I couldn't figure out what you were going on about at first - which is nothing new - until I looked at the cartoon again and realised that of course, you could assume Georgie was a girl rather than a small boy...

I tend to think in the idiom of the period of the pictures....smiley - laugh...back in the day, 'Georgie' would be a boy's nickname. He would hate it, as he would no doubt hate piano practice.

I can find a George Smith who is a piano *tuner*.

But, of course, it's not an uncommon name smiley - evilgrin, with numerous comic possibilities for mistaken identity. smiley - whistle
