When I went to RSPB Burton Mere recently, I encountered an unusual sight. I have seen solitary Grey Herons there before, but on that particular day there were more than 20, all huddled up in the meadow, and all facing the same way. Perhaps they were an audience waiting for the heron equivalent of a TED Talk to start!
