Thank you, Galaxy Babe, for getting up and taking this lovely picture. smiley - smiley

I wondered what the dots were. It's difficult to tell the scale, so they could be birds or helicopters.

I had good company smiley - loveblush

The dots are birds, gulls. Another recent trip to the promenade gave us a view of a murmuration of knots. Didn't get any photos of that and my phone doesn't behave well when asked to video smiley - sadface

We go to the same place to watch moonrises. smiley - lovesmiley - moon

By the time I get up, the squirrels have done their dastardly business in my yard. smiley - sadface The sun is full on my yard, and the varmints are probably sipping mai tais in the branch of that enormous oak tree whose branches hang over my yard. smiley - grr

How cute, I must tell my sister. They're her favourite animal and she would love some in her garden (smiley - run)

I like squirrels, on the whole. I can't blame them for being so numerous here. You can't expect to have oak trees without the animals that insist on planting acorns, namely squirrels and bluejays.

It's just that squirrels always dash away whenever they see me, as if they're guilty of doing something naughty. smiley - evilgrin Once in a while, they actually *have* been naughty. I suspect them of digging up things that I've planted. Chances are, they're just curious.

Ours don't dig up. Ours plant. Elektra yells at them. 'No! Take those walnuts to some other yard!' smiley - laugh

It's amazing how many sapling trees want to grow *under* my trailer. Every Summer I go around pulling them up, always aware that they have *very* long roots, which always leave a bit behind. Hence, the next Summer, they have gown back a bit. smiley - grr
