Thank you for sharing this story - I can relate to that as I tend to be in the 'weird' teams as well 
There was a bit of humour in the office, but not very much and it reduced after a funny 
was encouraged to leave. I've seen one of those 
s though - very 
so I didn't find it amusing 
... The dancing flowers were OK, but ones that move but don't play music are even better, in my opinion!
(I also especially relate to the bit about the Säuberungsaktion... I was given more than 8 hours warning, thankfully, but was not deemed worthy of a party either...).
Good to remember that what was done always makes at least some difference, anyway
