That's really, really beautiful

The music sounds like wind chimes, working well with the crystalline beauty of snow on pine branches and bird feeders.

I used to know the words to "Lara's theme."

Somewhere, my love,
There will be mumble, mumble....

If that's a prospective karaoke song, I will learn the words.

I expect that there may be others who would like more modern songs. Then again, we are celebrating a 20th year anniversary, and we never allowed anyone less than 16 years old to become researchers, so the functional lowest possible age will be 36. I suspect that we could safely add 15 or 20 to that. What songs would be well-known to people in their fifties or above?

(I hope I haven't offended anyone by making these assumptions. If there's a chance of anyone wanting recent songs, should I learn key songs from recent movies, or from the score of "Hamilton"?)

I also have a number of songs that I have written, and they don't pertain to any particular year or period. Not that I would expect you to sightread them smiley - laugh.

I asked Robbie about that, and I doubt karaoke is going to happen. smiley - laugh The pub's not set up for it, from what Robbie says. I don't think the room's enclosed. I won't be there. And I'm sure that if they had to pick songs, very few h2g2ers would pick show tunes. They're mostly into pop and rock, from what they post me. smiley - winkeye Yes, a lot are close to our age. They like the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Black Sabbath.

I was thinking of working up a couple of filk Youtubes for you that people could do for ffun. Let's see what I can find. But I wouldn't go memorising 'Hamilton' - at least, not for the Meet. smiley - rofl

The Beatles?

I could handle "When I"m 64," though I'd make it 94 instead. smiley - evilgrin

Beautiful indeed!

Lara's Theme reminds me of musical boxes as I have heard it most on them! The tone you selected on the keyboard is perfect smiley - magic
