Photographic evidence! The snails were really here, I saw them too.
Great photo in fact, I like the shadow effect on the shell, and those colours, ah I remember everything.
Where have they gone? (heads out to ask around,and search for a snail trail, photographic evidence stored in phone)

I was rather sorry they left. They were certainly different - what other town has supersize snails?
