This is an unusual view of the Pavilion, and it works well the trees and their shadows add to the interest to the photograph.
Good start to the new year.

And here's a bit of doggerel to go with the picture.
On Brighton’s Steine did George the Fourth
A stately pleasure dome decree,
Where people come from further north,
to taste the pleasures their money’s worth
Or sit and stare at a silver sea.

Hey me luvs
Thanks Bob! It's important, to me when you talk about my photo composition. I do rely a bit on fluke, click and hope in a random moment.
Yes, the unexpected sunlight gave rise to vein like shadows on the walls, I like a vein like shadow. And unexpected sunlight. And curious domes and minarets that appear out of nowhere. And all on Christmas Day.
Of course, Mister D, our esteemed Editor, was *not* supposed to print the bit in my intro where I said the North Gate was reeeeely reeeely historical.
Oh mvp, that's not doggerel, (funny word, doggerel, wonder where it comes from?) that's marvellous and we shall recite it aloud, sitting in deckchairs in the Pavilion Gardens, with tea and cake.
