h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

For Wednesday 15 Nov I was going to regale you with a rant about ParkRun runners. Unfortunately a rather unpleasant pop-up advert has started again whenever H2G2 pages are loaded to my ‘puter which completely freezes the screen making it impossible to get into h2. Sometimes it takes longer to clear than others. Hence no NaJo yesterday. Apologies for that but it may just have been a blessed relief

Ah, that is frustrating... I hope the pop up problem has gone away again now.

Yes indeed! This is about the third time it's happened. It only ever happens when I'm on h2. It completely locks up the screen and the only way I've found to clear it is to do a complete reset. Even then that's only effective sometimes for a short while and it gets to be a bit of a chore signing in to everything repeatedly.

I'm posting this on an old iPad but my usual one has been out of action since yesterday. I'll try again tomorrow maybe.

Interesting - I’m on an iPad just now and I got the same thing... Luckily it was ok after I held the on button down for a few seconds, without needing a full reset, but it was scary for a while...
