Look! I'm telling you, this road map is out of date, it shows a left-hand bend ahead and watch out for that truck coming this way towards us.
Yes but! the road does go to the right, have you got the map the wrong way round ?
Don't argue, it SHOWS a left hand bend where we are now!
Ok Ok! I believe you, we'll buy a new one at the next petrol station, but! what truck coming the other direction are you talking about ? there ain't one.

Well! "It" ain't passed us and "I" didn't see one and there's no turn off ?
But I saw one ?
