Scarborough Fair jumped out at me as it was one of my favourite songs by them.
It is funny but I thought it was a love song when I first heard it because simply, I loved it. Then I heard Art Garfunkel do a solo version several years later and it reminded me it was actually a hate song, in the mould of 'When hell freezes over.' It is also like Sting's song, when with The Police, 'I'll Be Watching You.'This was a song about stalking based on his break up with his then girlfriend, Frances Tomelty.*
* Who played a grieving mother in the first series of The Unforgotten as her last notable role

If you mean Scarborough Fair, being English one knows this already. If you mean Sting's song, with a sting in it, no I wasn't aware it was a folk song
