The head makes me think of the ocelot. The legs are far too long to resemble those of house cats. The body is a bit like that of a Bobcat.

Actually, my youngest sister's comment was, 'That cat looks just like Miss Lindquist's cat, only skinnier.'

Miss Lindquist was our piano teacher. She had a very large striped cat, about 30 pounds' worth, which my sister at five mistook for a tiger....

Hi Dmitri and Paulh! It's actually funny to me to hear different comments on this … some say it looks surprisingly similar to domestic cats, others say it's quite different! Anyways domestic cats themselves differ hugely among each other …

Interestingly for instance the lighest adult leopards are lighter than the heaviest recorded domestic cat.

I'll take your word for it. I don't have the nerve to weigh even light leopards. And heavy cats never were my cup of tea. smiley - blush
