A Conversation for Arachnophobia
Daddy Long-legs Spiders
ITIWBS Started conversation Aug 11, 2018
I've got to admit to an active affection for this one, with a practical reason.
One never finds the harmless to humans Daddy Long-legs together with the potentially deadly black widow, since the Daddy Long-legs preys on the black widow.
So, where practical, I tolerate the Daddy Long-legs.
Their massively draping webs festooning the ceilings and every available corner, an attractive rust-red in color, in turn lend a campy air to the place.
I often think acceptability of spiders may be largely pheromonal.

No don't! I don't want to know - we don't have black widow spiders in the UK
