Reassuring or disconcerting?

I was reading last night about how Facebook's mission is to aggressively connect things, so in that sense the sign is disconcerting...
However, these days I like the phrase of the author EM Forster: 'Only connect'.
I am comfortable with my own company, but connecting with people really does enrich my life, and h2g2 is one of the best ways I know to connect with like-minded people who share our connective curiosity with each other
