That's good that you can still type and play indeed 
I used to enjoy a bit of archery myself, but the most painful time I had was after I accidentally burned one of my two string-holding fingers a few days before by picking up a hot dish - there had been a blister and it had gone down but the skin underneath was tender and didn't appreciate the friction of the string passing by, so I sympathise...

What is it with burns and bows? I had a burn on my forearm after a cooking incident, archery on Sunday morning, guess where the string hit? ouch again!
