I wondered if it was a Brown Hawker, but I'm no dragonfly expert.

Neithet am I but it is a native of Hampshire and found in woodland. Hope that narrows it down a bit.

I checked my dragonfly guide and think it is a Male Common Darter smiley - ok

They are fantastic creatures, and excellent that on sunny days they like to bask, giving more time to attempt a photo smiley - ok
