I think you are right, MVP, I am glad that type of tree isn't near my neighbourhood. It does tend to look like some creepy thing out of a Lovecraft novel. Beautiful picture CC!

Caiman raptor elk - Inside big box, thinking.

I agree with curly or twisted hazel, but Medusa would have been a fitting name for the plant in this setting.

Nice picture. The dark trees could be rocket boosters, but there is no Space Shuttle attached. (maybe when the grow older)
