These are truly wonderful birds and I hope that the drought doesn't dry up their nesting places. I wish all the snow here would evaporate and end up rain in South Africa. Unfortunately I don't think the current hydrological cycle goes that way, but it would be nice. Beautiful painting of the pretty things.

Hi Elektra! Thanks! Well we've at last had some good rains! We even had a little hail today. I will see when I can get an outing to the bird sanctuary again and maybe glimpse one of these little guys!
