MMF - Keeper of Mustelids, with added P.M.A., is now in a relationship.

Well. Fancy That! Titter ye not.

Ken Dodd and his tickling stick has gone to join the Diddy Men down a treacle mine.

And I am surprised no-one had him. He’d find it tittifallatious.

A true comedian of the old school, but one who was pursued, rightly or wrongly and o am not one to judge, with claims of impropriety.

All I know is I enjoyed watching him on shoes like the Good Old Day’s, The Royal Variety Performance and the Ken Dodd show amongst others.

May you rest in piece and not know about the slander that will crawl out of the woodwork now.

Is it me? I never found anything Ken Dodd said or did funny. Maybe I just don't like clowns.

He was picked 8 times in the past, but not since 2012. He was a regular on Radox The Green's list.

You can call me TC

I didn't really find him funny either. He was another one who relied on his accent to make things sound funnier than they were.

Wasn't "Titter ye not" Frankie Howerd's catch phrase?

We used to listen to his Sunday lunchtime radio programme. I remember things like Diddymen and tickling sticks. Actually, listening to an excerpt on Youtube, it wasn't that bad really. Rather surreal and, of course, sexist, but so was Monty Python 10 years later.

60s comedy - along with the Clitheroe Kid, The Navy Lark, Round the Horne, Beyond our Ken, etc, etc.

Here's a taste:

No more Mr Bullseye. And we all like a bit of Bully!

Jim Bowen’s death has just been announced at the age of 80.

On the black,
Out of the red.
Nothing for
Two in a bed!

Definite viewing in the ‘80s. Loved it.

Farewell Jim.

Fans of the talent show Britain's Got Talent may remember his life story being told by magician Richard Jones in 2016 - a performance which won Jones the final:

Three things I never knew about Bill Maynard (until I read his Wikipedia page):

1. He married Donald Campbell's widow.
2. He came 4th in the UK's Song For Europe contest in 1957.
3. His son represented the UK in the 1986 Eurovision, coming 7th.

Bill Maynard will no longer enjoy the GreenGreen grass of home.

Sadly no Heartbeat at 89. Scary he died because he fell off of his mobility scooter!

Another Sport Superstar. Possibly the first darts superstar.

The Crafty Cockney that was Eric Bristol has died of a heart attack at 60.

I used to love watching him play after having thrown arrers at my local with a few bevvies then come home and watch the darts on the box.

“One Himdred and Eiiiigggggghhtttttyyyyyyyy!”

A sad loss to the sport.

The world of sport is a little less colourful today. Bristow was certainly a character, I remember him and Maureen Flowers being the first couple of darts, and how watching darts on the box was unmissable if he was playing.

RIP Crafty Cockney. *throws* smiley - rose
