First glance its two giants kissing.....

but then there surfaces an obvious image of the ancient Horn'ed Termite Goddess. Resplendent in her earth gowns, offering Oneness and showing the mystical Sacred Knot,

Obviously!

Everything you say will be repeated to the woodpattern. It will be very moved that you think its more than just a woodpattern on a locker at the swimming pool.

It might even sing in various peculiar languages and feel faintly festive, because your definitions are somehow unusual, in fact its never met people like you before.

I would take it home for Christmas, but it would be hard to explain to the people who work at the leisure centre, why I'm leaving with the door of a locker under my arm.

It's obviously the spirits of the Wildwood. They are mourning the loss of their woodland and drawing up plans for their revenge. Maybe when you look out of your window tomorrow, you'll see a huge, dark forest.

It brought to mind an old album cover, which I managed to track down: http://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/519Y57BLXpL.jpg

It's Canadian guitarist Frank Marino, a man who actually genuinely believes he is the reincarnated spirit of Jimi Hendrix. Now he has a Turin Shroud to go with it.

I saw the woodpattern today, and told it about all these rather wonderful messages and interpretations.

In a silent, telepathic kind of a way, obviously. One wouldn't want to be misunderstood, standing there wrapped in a towel, speaking earnestly to a locker door.

It was very flattered, and asked if I could buy it supper, with wine, so we could discuss reincarnation.

However, before I could answer, someone stuffed their swim things into the space behind its head.

The trouble with making things into entities, is that you can't unmake them. They can never go back to what they were before, they have a new soul.

Reincarnation in fact. Oh no! Supper! I must buy supper for a locker door! Who says I am mad! I am sane! Quite sane!

You are both being drawn by the Sacred Knot...have you noticed you've been putting skirts on backwards or forgetting books lately?

That is a fascinating pattern. I think it looks like a Green Man singing.

That is lovely to see nature within the wood, even in such a mundane place as a swimming pool locker! Glad you got the opportunity to take a photo, cactuscafe, and thank you for sharing it with us smiley - biggrin

I might put skirts on backwards but I don't forget books. smiley - book are sacred.

Mind you so are trees, especially when you stand under one of the old oaks and wonder what the earth was like when it was young.
