h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

As you may very well know by now (at the very least, from the description on the page this thread is hanging from ), I visited the UK this past summer, something I'd been wanting to do since 2001. What you may not realize is just how long ago wanting turned into actual this-is-going-to-happen planning--I've found online evidence that serious steps were first taken just a few days shy of 14 months before the beginning of the trip (though, at the time, the date wasn't decided).

The first few days of this year's NaJo will talk about some of the planning behind the trip. I'm *planning* on dedicating one day of NaJo to one day each of the trip, but my trip was 19 days long, so I need *something* for the other 11 days (not that I'm planning on *that* many planning recap posts--don't worry! Gotta leave myself *some* padding for days I don't have time to write--a few days of the trip were rather jam-packed, and may need to be split up). I may, when the month is over, gather up the text and GuideML everything so that I may have my footnotes--or not, as I *do* remember how that went with my Urban Chickenkeeping Entry
