What jumps out for me is the straight lines of the flags and the shadow of the trellis in the background against the round table. Adds to the spiderweb feeling.

Hot summer shadow, first summer in Exeter, very hot in the yard, bendy shadows.
Nice observations, FWR, none of which I'd noticed.
