This is an intriguing story.
I had read the Guardian story about transgender people in the military, so I'd heard of Albert Cashier. I also wondered about St Joan!
I wondered if you should put a link to the story of Dr Barry - A8785078- then I realised you wrote that one too!
There is one slightly odd sentence starting "He used his size".I think that, after "achieving the objective", you just need "of"
