I was nuts about horses at 13 and was hoping to get a job working with them, but never had the chance. Maybe next time around I'll be luckier.

Thank you for reading and commenting. Riding horses are far more prevalent in Florida than most people realize. We were both experienced riders, but the paying customer is usually given a horse ready to ride with saddle and bridle already in place, and when they return they leave the other routines to the staff. We learned how to prepare the horses for the ride and to remove the tack (saddle bridle etc.) afterwards. It was a fun experience, but also a lot of hard work. There is no easy way to muck out a stable. On the whole I would not trade these memories for anything
