I got in a muddle yesterday, created a second November 19th, when it should have been 20th.
I wrote another 1904 words today, bringing my total up to 37,940.
But I've killed off my hero. I also killed off Henri's wife. This wasn't something I planned to do, but the logic of the writing just led me that way.
I've still got a little way to go with my plot. Then what? I've got a couple of scenes featuring Henri which I could add, but that's probably not going to add more than a couple of thousand words. It would be a pity to fizzle out in the low 40,000s?

Write an epilogue? - the next generation finds out what happened? Legacy?

Yes, legacy sounds good.
I was going to say, maybe have a documentary-like feature, with minor character telling what all of it meant to them ?

Thanks.
I had thought of having a kind of book end feature. In this, the story would begin with Danielle, in old age, seeking reconciliation with Henri. It would end with their son, Jeannot going back to the farm, meeting Henri and finding a family he scarcely knew about.
Key: Complain about this post
