There is a free walking tour of Edinburgh that leaves from the Starbucks next to Tron Kirk 3 times a day: 10am, 11am, and 2pm. Tours run for 2.5 hours. The 11am tour is the one that makes the most sense for us.

There is another tour that may be discussed after lunch, that starts an hour after the free tour ends. The Edinburgh New Town tour is not free, but it's only 10GBP. The tour meets at the same place as the free tour, and would be done by 5pm.

The evening portion of the meet will be at the Kalpna at 6pm. Making a reservation in Edinburgh for early August is not the simplest thing, so getting our first choice restaurant is quite a good thing (making a reservation at a pub for that time period is downright impossible)
