Yeah, one opened up in the town just 25 miles north of us earlier this year, though not the traditional limestone kind that comes to mind with the word "sinkhole"--'tis a coastal town, on sandstone, some of which is a bit less stone than sand...

Though the road with the bison (not a yak, as Notepad kept calling 'emsmiley - groan), if a hole appears someday, will be due to a completely different geological process...

a few month back, our local news prog' showed half an house lost down a sinkholesmiley - sadface
our part of the country is riddled with old mine workings, but hopefully too deep to cause probemssmiley - smiley
