Shadow writing, or candles or the embers of a fire?
You ought to be able to sit around these, toast your crumpet and tell ghost stories.

Now, on with the ghost stories! 
The ghost story that mysteriously appeared from shadow writing. Like a sub-text. Or it could appear in the margin of another text. That would be a good story. If I could write it. Bit spooky though. Quite glad I can't write it. I'm scared of ghost stories.
