It is no wonder that there are a lot of succulents in SA. The differences in seasonal rainfall are rather drastic. It seems to be a good survival trait to storehouse water.

Hi Elektra! Glad you like this little shrub. Did you know that southern Africa has about 45% of all the species of succulent in the entire world?

WOW, that many. I am not surprised because of constantly reading you entries. The blossoms and the leaves of these just looked so pretty in your photo. 
I think the plants need to hire you as a PR person.
