The photographs (particularly from the IoW news) have been stunning. I did have a go at spotting it from near Hurst Spit on the Sunday, but the weather wasn't playing - I could just make out the power station chimney, but nothing to the South.
Report yesterday said that the list was reduced to 39 degrees and that it would be moved again when it was down to 15.
I was quite looking forward to it making the next edition of "Solent Hazards" for a while there.

I hope to get a better look next time I cross the Solent, you wouldn't believe that photo was taken just before midday, would you? It's just been so dark and stormy lately.
It's also moved closer to Lee on Solent, so you won't really see much from Hurst Spit. Except Hurst Castle, of course.

On a clear day we can see the Spinnaker from the Spit, but we prefer to look at the Needles.
Of course the biggest thing is the Island itself, see for yourself on Hurst Castle Camera (also on Twitter)
