Do we know what people read?

I've sometimes wondered if we know which Edited Guide articles people read
Do they like history or science? Do they want how-to-do-it articles?
Do they want articles about rock bands or TV shows?

Absolutely! If you understand it - and make other people understand it - they'll find it interesting, I think.

Data is collected about which pages are looked at - lanzababy has produced reports before. 'How to's are popular, as I was encouraged to change the titles of a few of my Entries to increase the likelihood of views, but so are many other topics.

As a rough proxy, the social media links on Entry pages indicate how popular an Entry might be - eg I noticed Currywurst has 19 likes on the Facebook icon on the right hand side of the page, and Flying Business Class, which was Edited 4 weeks ago, has 9 likes already smiley - biggrin My guide to train travel has 10 likes, as do a couple of my biographies smiley - blush

I definitely agree you should enjoy what you write, though, as there will be people who appreciate it even if the Entry doesn't get into the top 10 most popular or whatever smiley - ok
