I remember how wonderful the evening air would smell in Greece---I suppose that that species (which had a much smaller flower) must have had either bats or moths as pollinators for it. Lovely fragrance indeed. I'm glad you have a version of it in South Africa.

Hi Elektra! Probably moth pollinators. Not many flowers are pollinated by bats, and those are rather unusual-looking. Over here, baobab trees and sausage trees are bat-pollinated, both have quite large hanging flowers, that can support a fruit bat (which are quite large as bats go).
