I don't know if you read the related-topic thingy I wrote before the first proper series started, but looking back I might have been a bit harsh. The main thing I didn't like after watching the pilot was the number of characters, but as Boxey's not really seen again and they soon start bumping people off, that wasn't a problem for the rest of the show.

The first episode, '33', is still my favourite.

No, I didn't read that.
I think there really are quite a lot of characters in the series but it didn't really bother me at any time. I have more difficulties with remembering who is who in other series.

I'll submit this to PR now, I don't get on alone anymore, I think I need some comments.

pebblederook-The old guy wearing surfer beads- what does he think he looks like?

A friend gave me the entire series which I have recently completed watching over the last winter. I always need to watch something at least twice before I can make any intelligent appraisal, but I know I enjoyed this enough to want to watch it again.

It took a little while to get into, possibly because my friend raved on about it so much that expectations were high. I remember the episode 'Bones' was the first that grabbed me and made me think that this was going to be a good experience.

I particularly liked the way the series treated some difficult subjects. The stand out for me was when, on New Caprica, the human resistance sent a suicide bomber into the passing out ceremony for new human police recruits working for the Cylon administration. Modern Iraq and Afghanistan immediately sprang to mind and I thought it was a brave piece of writing for an American TV series.

I am sure others will be able to point to a number of sequences which look at some serious moral dilemmas.

It is a huge project though, you are brave to take it on.

smiley - smiley I didn't want to include too many spoilers into this Entry, it should rather get people to watch the series themselves. I also didn't want to make it too long - I write enough long Entries as is.smiley - laugh

(further comments to the PR thread please)
