Gnomon - time to move on

Hi CM! smiley - smiley

Thanks for writing this entry. This is information we need in the Guide, and probably not easy to find in other places.

These are wild creatures rather than pets? Why would you want to move one? Are they in your yard? In the way of your car? Annoying your dog?

My crazy cousin had a big alligator snapping turtle in a bathtub in their yard. That thing had jaws on it that could snap your arm in two, not sure how on earth they captured it!

This is an interesting use for your smiley - towel!

I would like to know more. Where do these turtles occur? Do they get into people's homes or swimming pools? What do they eat?

So even if you do move the turtle, there's no guarantee it won't come back?

CM,

you could improve this entry by telling us a little bit about the snapping turtle before you tell us how to move it. Most of us live in parts of the world where there are no snapping turtles, so we don't know what they're like.

Just edit your entry and put a paragraph at the start telling us about these animals, then post a message here to say you've done it.

G

CM, I hope yours isn't as big as this monster is:

Unfortunately you can't use the pics or the video, but if you could take a snapshot using your phone to show the Europeans what they are missing, ---that would be grand.

I can't believe that one of those guys wanted to cook it for soup.smiley - yikes

Hi there constent moan.

I'm afraid it's not 'all done' smiley - biggrin

Please take a little time to reread your Entry, and try to work out where the punctuation should go. You seem to have sentences that need fullstops, commas and so on.

You may need to edit some of the introduction to make it more understandable.

Also, if spelling is something you have trouble with, then enable a spell check to your browser. Or, copy your words into a text editor and use their spell check.

We are a writing website, so it is important to write out words in full, not use text speak. Write all numbers, up to ten, in words. So first should be 'first' not 1st - and so on.

Any queries, please ask for further advice.
