Who fancies a walk then?

Yes, it was a stupid amount to pay for a simple bag. (2legs, a messenger bag is just a simple bag with a flap, slung over the shoulder, and gets its name from bicycle messengers.) But I'm adamant about not having buyers remorse. I know I'll get many years of use out of this bag.
I also know how expensive women's purses can be so I really can't complain (without suffering a barrage of scoffing regarding the high prices for women's accessories).
I did test it out on my recumbent bicycle last night and it hangs nicely at my side (since slinging it over my back isn't an option on a 'bent).

A good messanger bag is well worth whatever you pay for it!
Only four days to go until the pre-pre-meet! Don't forget to let me know if you want any questions or guidance about where things are, such as getting off at Manchester Oxford Road from the airport train if the train you're on goes on out to there. The Palace is just outside the station.

Ahh! that's what one is! I had something simular... it was a sort of leather lap top bag, someone got me for my netbook, which was too big for the netbook... It was actually big enough to hold neatly folded shirts, and things, and I could, at a push (by reducing the amount of moisturiser I took), fit a weekends away bag, worth of stuff into it... its on extended loan to William at teh moment as he finds it useful sometimes All my decent rucksacks died years ago... but as I got them when I used to do hiking and stuff when I was 15 or so, not supprised they started to fail (a bit like me), when I reached my thirty's Good bags are worth holding on too... and, indeed, possessing I wonder if my teddy-bear will fit in my rucksack I hope so

Maybe I'm just not quite awake yet, but I find the ability to make a liquid into a pile quite interesting
*Ignores possibility of cups of coffee being piled up*

Bring rain gear for the expected "disturbance".

I never knew Manchester is so much like Ankh-Morpork. But some of it surely is. And I am quite sure I would have never found the river Ankh myself.
(Don't get me wrong, the walk was excellent and Manchester is full of very beautiful places.)

It was indeed a very excellent walk, and the Ankh-Morpork analogy is surprisingly accurate!
Please send my warmest regards to our brilliant tour guide!

I second that
I haven't seen so many Roman remains since I went to Rome itself (as I was born slightly north of the border of the Roman empire)

Thanks from me too, to the excellent guide on the walk and the secondary guide using the poking stick Are there any plans to ever* clean up the cannals in Mancehster? I guess they're at least quite good reminders of their use in ancient times... given they're so full of litter being washed down and back and forth but... might be nice were they a bit cleaner... Still think I could have made a drive off the balcony into ... err, whichever one of the canals it is, that is by canal street itself Mind... I swear that bath was deep enough to dive into
The medeavial bit of the walk, which we didn't do, would have been cool too... but that'd have made it a really long day on our feet and, well we were lucky rain-wise, an extended walk might be a very wet experience under more useual/typical Manchester weather conditions
