2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

smiley - wow that's a serious cheap deal on a hotel, if my memories of prices round there ( from several years ago), are correct smiley - wow well hunted down smiley - 2cents

Will my South-East Pounds and pennys be acceptible currency as far north as Manchester, or do I need to exchange them into a local currency? smiley - run

I think it was the first recognised gay village in Europe. It gets very full of hen parties these days though, and most gay folks I know steer clear of it.

I'm trying to recall any of the names of bars and clubs we used to visit by canal street, when i was at University in Manchester... but can't remember any... I guess most have changed names dozens of times since I were there anyhow, as clubs and bars are prone to do smiley - alienfrownsmiley - weirdsmiley - alesmiley - ufo

I booked directly on their website, as that was actually cheaper than what Booking was offering. smiley - huh

I've found it's often wise to get a price online, then contact the hotel directly. I checked in to a hotel in New Orleans and the clerk said I'd have gotten a better price if I'd just called direct. It was at Xmas and they had many vacancies.

It always pays to ask around. I got both my flight tickets and hotel room (at The Palace) through momondo.dk

I just checked the current price for the room (single, with breakfast) again. It is now £87 for one night. I got 4 nights for £286 when I booked 23 March

So far they've only charged me £286, though, but that's another story and we'll see how that ends...
