Since there is no particular thread about the pre-pre-meet (on Thing, aka Th*rsday) and I can't seem to start one by myself I'll resort to telling you all here that 5 June is Father's Day in Denmark - and since I am now both a father and a father of a father don't expect me to do anything else than enjoying and good company (not necessarily in that order)

Crap... I'll have to pick up a Father's day for my dad while I'm over there.

Thursday's plan is to turn up to Port Street Beer House, on Port Street, any time after opening at 4pm, grab a table upstairs and generally sit around drinking and chatting

not sure what time might make it there... won't be arriving in until err, about 7 I think....
I do assume you'll all be there until... like they kick you out ....
so even if late arriving, there should* be some ner-do-wells about
hmmm. oh. no.
damn. disaster. I'll be on the train, when its my dinner time. Oh. what a mistake to make... oh no.... I may have to make a packed lunch up then, for the journy I guess
are BR still really upperty about passengers setting up little oil stoves in the isle on the train?

I think I saw, on a moonlit stair... err... nope.
I think I saw somwhere, someone say, they didn't really* do food there? so may be a detour required en-route to join yous, as I'm not man enough to face trying the food on the train, on my way up...

Port Street Beer House, the Thursday venue does not do food.
There is a nice falafal take out place just down the street that does good wraps.

Some of you (like Hati, Hapi, Milla, Lanzababy, Belana and 2legs to name but a few) have my phone number. Feel free to distribute it as it may be difficult to find it in your local telephone
You could also send me a personal message here or on Facebook, where I'm known as Pierce Thepirate

And if anyone needs to get hold of me, emailing [email protected] will noew come through to my phone
Or just ask the bar staff in Port Street where I am

Anyone tried contact some of the old researchers, who occasionally pop on (sure I've seen em recently online), who are from the Manchester area, but haven't been on, in say months and months, who might still be about? .... Granny W? err... I'm sure there are otters too *thinks*
Godsh.... not long now, until the meet... I really must decide what clothes to pack/wear

Almost finished packing. Will be leaving early tomorrow. So will not be near a computer after that - and while my phone isn't exactly dumb it's not particularly smart either. It only understands text and voice
It is however filled to the rim with
See you in a bit

Since I'm leaving tomorrow, I've been girding myself gastronomically this week. For lunch Sunday, I had Tex-Mex. Yesterday, I had Vietnamese pho. Today I had barbecue.
These are three things I don't expect to find in the UK, at least not at the standard I'm used to.
Now, once I get there, I hope to try many different cuisines that are NOT well known around these parts.

Packing : done.
I'm leaving tomorrow morning (early), for a three-day training session in Paris, and then I'll be flying from there to manchester on Friday night.
