A brief personal account of how a martial arts club was born way back when!
Full detailsof the history of Taiho Jutsu and the current syllabus can be found on either the British or International websites.

Brilliant Freewayriding - I really did enjoy reading this one. I found it fascinating.
I have just one query, and that is where you comment that the traditional martial arts were 'banned'. Can you elaborate on this a little, by whom and why? Dates too if you have them.
I like your style of writing, its easy to read while being interesting.
Good luck and I hope to see this in the Guide very soon.

thanks Lanza, after 2nd world war Japanese martial arts were forbidden by the allies, will amend and add some dates. All the Taiho websites go into great detail on the origins.

The best thing I can recommend is to paraphrase just the salient points from the authoritative websites. Rather than expect the reader to leave your entry and google for an explanation - they may never come back! O worse, bore them into submission with more facts than they'll really want.
I'm afraid my attention span gets shorter each year and I struggle with really long Entries that go into minute details. Your strapline 'A brief history...' is one thing that may encourage the casual reader to find out what you've written. I like that!

Thanks!
I think the main problem I have is brevity,I had the honour of being included in the writing of the original club training syllabus in 1990 (thanks Ross for the credit!) and unless youre into the martial arts scene an awful lot of it becomes blah blah blah (especially the Japanese we were required to learn)

A fascinating Entry indeed
I have family on the Wirral, so I am quite familiar with the area, but had never heard of Taiho Jutsu before, so I enjoyed learning about it
