This is where I live so naturally I know this state best.

You really do make Austria sound so appealing, with its numerous World Heritage Sites, National Parks and castles.

A couple of minor things, such as:
'the Wachau valley, which is recognised as UNESCO World Heritage' I'd write 'as an UNESCO World Heritage Site'
