What no dystopian visions of childhood

Midwitch Cuckoos, Brave New World clones, Logans Run teens, Mad Max child gangs, and the vile little child spies in 1984

......and as this is H2G2 why no mention of Random Dent

As writing about all science-fiction ever would be a bit of a monumental task, I chose to limit it to television science fiction. So this means that, say, Star Trek is fine, but things that happen in the Star Trek films (such as Kirk's son David) can't be mentioned as that's outside the television remit. So Random Dent is in a book and radio series, but not in television, so sadly doesn’t count. Mad Max is a film series, 'Brave New World' is a book by Aldous Huxley which has been adapted into films, but not a television series, so doesn't count (but see the book review I co-wrote here: A87777535). John Wyndham's excellent 'The Midwich Cuckoos' has twice been filmed as 'Village of the Damned', but never a television series.
'Logan's Run' did indeed inspire a television series, so would count, but like the 1954 television series of 1984, I'm afraid I've not seen it. (I've looked and the television adaptation of 1984 isn't available on DVD, only various film versions. Logan's Run the TV series is available, although I'm yet to be convinced it is worth £25 for only 14 episodes. Have you seen it?)

According to that Wikipedia thing, the main cast is:

Gregory Harrison as Logan 5
Heather Menzies as Jessica 6
Donald Moffat as Rem
Randy Powell as Francis

So probably not.smiley - blue
