A Conversation for The h2g2 Book Review: Mr P (and George)
First Person Narration

First Person narration is often used quite effectively
when telling a single tale, even a novel length tale. But
to use the "I" in a series of different stories is rare.
Pheroneous is to be congratulated for his effort.
Few writers have ever dared to attempt it, especially
with so many distinct voices in a single volume. A few
20th Century writers did attempt to describe a plot from
a variety of perspectives offered by a range of characters
involved. This can be done in Mystery novels for example
where each character is a witness to a crime and has a
unique perception and memory of the same events.
But I am at a loss to recall such a variety of characters
in such a variety of independent scenarios speaking directly
from one author. It reminds me of an actor in a one man show
shifting from character to character. A valiant effort indeed.
