I am glad that these pretty critters seem to be thriving. I think if I were a predator, I'd think twice and consider other food sources than confronting those horns ---they really look like they could do you serious damage.

Hi Elektra, I'm glad you liked the article! Speaking of doing damage, have you seen this video yet?:

Gosh, I'm glad the biker wasn't hurt but I wonder why he didn't slow down or speed up to avoid this antelope. Hartebeest 1 Boer 0. I am sure he didn't win the race but he's lucky he didn't end up in hospital.

OK, SA bikers are not the only ones with run-ins with speedy four legged creatures.

This biker finished his race as well.

Hmmm ... deer collision to 'Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy'? Not exactly ballet! Thanks for the video!
My favourite part of the hartebeest crash video is when the guy behind the biker says 'holy cow'! Not a cow but close. But who in the world actually says that?! Here in SA I can think of ten much more likely things people could say when seeing such an event.

Maybe that guy behind watches too much Amerian TV. I think Bart Simpson for one uses the expression 'Don't have a cow' for Don't be upset.
Key: Complain about this post
