A Flea Market Rescue based on the history of film up to the end of the 19th Century.

Trout Montague felt that the article should have a timeline, so I have included one. I'm not always sure how well timelines work, as lists aren't the most exciting method of relaying information, but with so much happening at the same time I can see that including one would have a benefit.
Similarly, it was Tonsil Revenge's intention to include a section on Robert Hooke. If one of the original authors strongly believed that a paragraph on a genius from the Isle of Wight is required, it would be rude of me to refuse.
If YOU would like to rescue an article, then why not look at the <./>Writing-Fleamarket</.>

It does, indeed - and well-organised.
Might I suggest that you link to some examples of what you're describing, from www.archive.org? That site, which is free and can be seen everywhere, I think, has excellent resources for students of early film history.

For Melies, how about 'The Devilish Tenant'? Great effects:

Thanks - I've added most of the links, all except the one for Méliès, as I was hoping to keep things before the end of 1901 if possible.

Ok, had a better read now.
There is a bit repetition. In the opening section we have:
<>
Then in the following section there is:
<>
Robert Hooke 1666:
<> principle --> principal
< This is a bit misleading. In 1666, Hooke mentions a drawing aid but only in 1668 did he present a paper to the Royal Society describing a projecting instrument. It is unfair to call Hooke the inventor of the CL as his device was really just a further development on the work of others.
Robert William Paul:
<> premiere --> premier
You can stop the text from wrapping in the Date column of the table by adding a width attribute to the table header definition:
DateEvent

Premiere corrected, Date column sorted ( I didn't know that one) and the two sections combined into one in the Steam Time section. I've also changed Hooke from having invented to developed the Camera Lucida.
I've also added 'The Early History of Film' to every sentence, just as I know how much you love repeitition for dramatic emphasis

Wow, I really became interested in Louis le Prince. I know Edison was a nasty customer, but I never thought he'd resort to murder but Louis's dissappearance and his brother's Adolphe Le Prince death in 1900 on Fire Island in a duck shooting incident, certainly raises questions. Especially as there was a patent lawsuit which occured two years before.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
