Thanks for sharing that, Peanut. Due to weird copyright laws it is hard to find the text and video of him giving the speech. This is really annoying considering YouTube has performances and concerts of jokers and clowns, but will not entertain the notion of providing something real and important.

Okay, in case any readers doubt this, here's a link to a Slate article on yesterday's 'Internet Freedom Day' activities:

http://www.slate.com/blogs/future_tense/2013/01/18/internet_freedom_day_why_tweeting_mlk_s_i_have_a_dream_speech_is_now_civil.html

According to this and other sources I have found, the copyright belongs to the King estate, and a company called EMI. I believe this is a British record label?

Slate states that the only legal way to view the entire speech in video is to buy a DVD for $20.

www.archive.org makes the audio version available at:

http://archive.org/details/MLKDream

The video is available on google if you look for a teacher resource called 'TeacherTube'. I leave you to find it.

I think EMI publihing has been sold to Sony/ATV consortium

If you google 'Daily Dot I have a dream', there is the full video

I would link to it but it illegal, which doesn't bother me but could land h2g2 in strife so any acts of civil disobedience I would exercise elsewhere, if I had an elsewhere on the internet to go too
