An answer to Create's August Challenge.

After making a stop close to home in Manchester, Elton has already made his way over the Pond. He took a first class flight, if you wonder. And he chose the vegetarian meal. In California Elton dropped in on Amy Pawloski and with her he visited one of the natural sights of the county. Amy was kind enough to take pictures and send them to us along with a letter from Elton. Thank you Amy!

Elton in Gasquet, California

Here I am at Panther Flat, along the Middle Fork of the Smith River in the Smith River National Recreation Area north of Gasquet, California, USA. It was quite sunny, so my fur's a bit washed out.

I retreated to a nice shady tree stump when I got too warm.

Later, I explored a botanical trail and wandered amongst the Darlingtonia californica before I saw the sign to stay out of the bog because of delicate plants. Oops!
