I agree with you while Phil was never the best writer in the world --almost all the movies based on his works were awful. I wasn't a fan of Arnie's either but it made a bit more sense than this one. Now I liked Bladerunner and think that the author would have liked it too, but the awfulness of 'The Minority Report' was OTT.

I agree that PKD wasn't the world's greatest stylist, but in terms of sheer inventiveness and originality I can't think of anyone to match him. I look at a story like 'Some Kinds of Life' or 'The Day Mr Computer Fell Out of His Tree' or 'Nanny' and I ask myself how he did it - how can something be so obvious and yet so weird and so truthful at the same time? He's the best, the boss: and then Hollywood buys the rights and it invariably gets turned into a CGI chase movie...

I agree with that, Awix. I've re-read 'Ubik' and 'A Maze of Death' I don't know how many times...and find new things in there.
He's poorly served. I always wished they'd just film what he wrote, dialogue and all.
