I must say I vvas really quite disappointed vvhen I heard about this as I gather that many people in the knovv do seem to believe in his guilt. It's not so much him as the fact that I had largely missed the vvhole 'the entire sport vvas riddled vvith it' situation and this rather forced it to my attention. I have many fond memories of half vvatching the Tour vvith my Dad, vvhich vvas the only time I ever paid attention to cycling, and finding this out really annpoyed me as it spoilt some rather innocuous but pleasant memories. It's a bit like finding out something unsavoury about a Blue Peter presenter.
On the other hand, it does also explain vvhy Bradley VViggins and the GB cycling team got such raised eyebrovvs this year.
