The h2g2 Poem: Gardening

1 Conversation

Ramya has a double treat for you gardeners.

Two Gardening Poems

Gardenias are blossoming, hither and yon,
The fragrance is heavenly, throughout my lawn.
Who knew the flowers would so effectively multiply,
One can only look, smiling with a sigh,
The scent is celestial, its beauty divine,
It layers the royalty of God's shrine.
Summer's here, but it hasn't bid farewell
Hope it keeps delighting with its wonderful smell.

Tomato's slowly growing its ever creeping vine,
With the peppers and the corn, we'll soon get to dine.
There are several fruit trees growing everywhere,
I'm looking forward to nectarine, peach and pear.
We have leafy banana plant, we're growing strawberry
I hope we can get a living tree of cherry.
Now we have dogwood and cherry blossoms too,
On the edge of our yard are some flowers that are blue.
The garden's developing, filled with life,
Those darn mosquitoes are my only strife.
