You say "I can hear a song and then play it". That's impressive!
There's a word for it, I think, but can't find the actual one I want.
'an ear for music' or 'play by ear' maybe, though I prefer 'musical savant'.

A friend's father could do that - he could have gone on stage except for his style - he couldn't do anything except in classic bar-room tinkle.

I can play mostly classical, and the odd fiddle tune. Thanks for commenting
