No sadness intended - one season leads to another. Carnivals and concerts gave way to days at the beach and sailing
My brother and I didn't have much choice about sharing. In those days you DID NOT embarrass your parents in public! We both understood that and did our best to be good sons.

Beaches and sailing are good as well as avoiding NY winters. And the musicians must have gotten weary of playing 'Beer Barrel Polka' all the time as well.
